Tango came to us on the 29th
of November 2005, at the age of almost 14 months old. “Knowing” him from a puppy
we had liked him a lot, but back then was not the correct time... Luckily for
us, his breeder and our very good friend Leonor Mayer Soriano from Tangotara’s
Kennel, decided to keep him with her in Spain, as her choice of a very special
litter of 4 boys. This choice of events, coupled to a long and prosperous
conversations over the past months between our two kennels, led to the
“migration” of this precious young boy to Hellas!

With Tango’s arrival the pack slipped into a mild turmoil as everybody had to
reassure and re-evaluate their status. We knew that the hierarchical order had
to be set again and all of us had to show patience with Tango as he adjusted, so
to give him the much needed space and time to figure the order of things around
here…but only by looking in Tango’s eyes we could see that we had a very special
boy in our hands that just needed time to blossom! So the effort was well worth
it.

Of course, by being a purebred show dog and
in puberty, he immediately aimed for the “A” place. He very quickly understood
(only seeing Vihar’s posture), that there was not much chance of that happening.
So from there on and in the next month, he worked himself nicely in the pack and
managed to become friends with everybody. Of course every now and then there are
still small attempts to check on the hierarchy of Vihar, but we believe that
slowly these will fade away…. at least until he fully matures. Thank God we
still have plenty of time until then.
Tango is a very loving and sweet young boy. He is always happy, very generous
with the love that he gives, very intelligent and shows to understand the things
you don’t want him to do. But most importantly he just LOVES to work with you -
especially in showing himself. He hates being left alone and so he is always
following us around in the house, checking every move we make, or he sits in the
middle of the pack, lying whenever possible on Vihar.

We are very happy to have him and we have to
say, once again, a GREAT “Thank You!” to our
friend Leonor!!! |
